Question: Lord, how do I teach truth without getting angry?
A promise from back in the Old Testament is that I have a plan for you and that my thoughts toward you are full of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. Do you find comfort in this? Do you know what your future is? It is an act of faith to believe this future exists even if you don’t know what it is. What conclusions can you draw from the trajectory of your life to date? Are you in control of the direction of your life? Have you already seen it unfold in directions that you didn’t anticipate, that were beneficial for you? I still have a future and a hope for you.
Does God really care for me? How do I know? Those are two questions that Christians often ask. One way to answer them is to reflect on the occasions when God has intervened in our lives, providing protection and provision. I recently had an occasion to share a series of events in my life that I have labeled as ‘traveling mercies.’ In this post, I’m sharing that series of Godly interventions in my life, all having to do with travel. I just received an exciting phone call from Rev. Paul Rosbuy, a pastor friend of mine who coordinates multi-church activities in his county. LaWanda – O Jesus, help me, Lord, never to lose sight of your holiness. Help me to stay in AWE of you. I love you, Lord, and I worship you but sometimes I lose sight of who you are, the magnitude of it. O how grateful I am, Lord, that you have made me righteous through your blood. O Jesus, precious Jesus. I love you Lord. Help me to love you more. I believe you, Lord, but I need your help when I don’t. Help my unbelief.
Never be stuck without an answer. Get a few friends together, live or by Zoom, and brainstorm 50 possible ways to solve the issue. Afterward, journal and see what the Lord highlights as His creative solution. Move forward!

Is the subject of money ever mentioned in your church? Is it ever mentioned in a context other than encouraging donations? It is appropriate to talk about money in church, because I had a lot to say about money, but did I ever ask for donations? I said that wherever someone’s treasure was there would be their heart also. So your whole approach to money, which is visible and concrete and real, is a reliable indicator of your innermost values.
