Our Lord wants us to know about His love and grace!

Ben Lunis's picture

Jesus, as we search the Scriptures to find You, to see what You did for us,
instead of searching them to find out what we can do for You, I believe we
are moving in grace. Your comments, please, upon my thoughts.

Ben, you have hit the nail on the head, so to speak. I so want My people to
walk in grace, to spend time with Me, to search for Me and find Me.
I want them to know about My grace and My love - not what they think
they should do to please and/or appease Me. I have impugned My righteousness

observers

Dale Cresap's picture

You know that observers are those who watch. This has the connotation of someone who does only that and is not directly involved. Yet this term has a stronger definition as well. To observe the speed limit it is not enough to watch the sign as you drive past it. In this case observation also requires obedience. Scientists pride themselves on being detached and dispassionate observers, but this is not a desirable choice for you. You will choose to obey or disregard my commandments. Don’t turn away and slide into a bad choice by default. Choose this day to observe all that I have commanded you.

blessed life

Dale Cresap's picture

Do you want to have a blessed life? Who would decline something like this? Yet what does this mean to you? Do you think that a blessed life is one with no trials or difficulties? To think this way is misunderstand and to set yourself up for a life of misery. Yet a blessed life is available to you if you are willing to take a more mature view of what it means. Your hardships are a part of it. Yet even in them you have my presence to comfort and console you and lead you in paths of righteousness. Even then you have a sense of purpose and destiny, an eternal framework in which to place your experience. The opposite of a blessed life is not one without pain, but one without meaning and purpose.

thoughts

Dale Cresap's picture

The thoughts I have toward you are of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. Is this a true description of your thoughts as well, or do your thoughts seem random and dark in comparison? Do they seem to have a life of their own, and take you in directions that are fearful or otherwise unhealthy for you? A wise man rules his own spirit. My word teaches you to take every thought captive, and in the power of my spirit this is possible. I enable you to think on those things that are pure and noble and lovely, even when you are surrounded by the corruption of a fallen world. Then your thoughts toward me will also be of peace, for the destiny I have set before you.

honor your father and mother

Dale Cresap's picture

One of my commandments to you is to honor your father and mother. This is not for their benefit, but yours, that you may live long on the earth. Note that this commandment is general and universal, without conditions. How do you honor parents who are not honorable? For they are subject to weakness and failure, as is everyone else. Some fulfill their roles and display character better than others, and some very badly indeed. Yet the commandment still stands. Blessed are those who do not struggle with this. If you do then call upon me and I will show you a way that you can obey this command no matter what your circumstances.

Finally Fearless: Journey from Panic to Peace

Mark Virkler's picture

Cheryl McKay writes: In the past, Mark & Patti Virkler have honored me by featuring my film and book releases in their newsletter. They interviewed me when I released Never the Bride: A Novel, and Finally the Bride: Finding Hope While Waiting, my book for singles in need of hope, and announced to their readers when my film The Ultimate Gift was released in theaters. Now, with the release of my next book, Finally Fearless: Journey from Panic to Peace, I would like to honor the Virklers, and the amazing ministry they have with Communion with God and Christian Leadership University, and share with you how it made such a big difference in my life in relation to the story behind writing this book.

talents

Dale Cresap's picture

If you examine your life closely you will see that you have some special ability in which you excel. This may not be something that is widely valued or lucrative. It may not be something that is highly visible to bring fame and the recognition of men, but in my love for all and my generosity, creativity, and impartiality I have neglected no one in my distribution of talents. Do you know what yours is? You honor the giver of your gift when you develop and exercise it, and if you look to me you will sense my pleasure when you do so. I put the desire in you to lead you into your destiny. Delight yourself in me and I will give you the desires of your heart.

noble sacrifice

Dale Cresap's picture

Have you ever sacrificed for something that didn’t benefit you personally? Environmentalists are willing to make personal sacrifices for the purpose of benefitting the planet even if the benefit is small and indirect. What is the direct benefit from your activities as a Christian? Are you willing to do them even if they don’t benefit you personally? Yet if environmentalists can make such sacrifices for a world that will perish regardless, how much more should you be willing to do so for my Kingdom that will endure for eternity? Every faithful act you make in obedience to me has a positive effect even if you are unaware of it now, and I am saving your reward for you as treasure in heaven.
