Are You Pursuing the Dream God Has Given You?

God HAS given you a dream to fulfill in your lifetime. He has also given you a passion and love to pursue this dream. God gives dreams to each of us. Abraham's life-long dream was that God would bless the world through his descendants (Gen. 12:1-3), and God did!

Do you recall the dream God has placed in your heart? Have you abandoned it as being impossible? It IS impossible in the natural because God intends to fulfill this dream through His wisdom and His power, made available to you through the Holy Spirit (1 Cor.12:7-11). So don't let your inabilities concern you. Just ask and receive all you need from the Spirit.

Failing is part of success

You may have made mistakes. You may feel you are now disqualified to fulfill God's vision. Well, you aren’t. God still wants to complete His vision through you. Mistakes and messes are just part of the process.

Abraham lied several times about Sarah being his wife (Gen. 12:11-17), and then had sex with her handmaiden (Gen.16:2), and YET, God fulfilled the vision through him (Gen. 15:1-6) and he became the father of all who believe (Rom. 4:11). King David had sex with Bathsheba and had her husband Uriah killed (2 Sam. 11), and yet God used David and blessed the world with Jesus, who was a descendent of David and Bathsheba (Matt. 1:1,6).

Wow! So yes, God can use us, even in the midst of our blunders, mistakes and failures. Amazing, isn't it? So NEVER let satan tell you the lie that God can no longer use you because of your mistakes. IT IS A LIE! Laugh at him, and tell satan that God will probably highlight this failure as part of your story toward ultimate victory.

Those with a vision to become a millionaire generally go bankrupt three times before achieving the vision. So expect lots of effort, lots of failure, lots of leaning on Jesus for guidance and lots of happy divine encounters (unexpected "mistakes") as these are all parts of the path to victory. Many if not most inventions and successes come through unplanned occurrences (mistakes) as well as dreams and visions.

After my 4th day of journaling via “Possessing Your Promised Land” here is a portion of what I heard today:

“And what of Mark Virkler? When he discovered that he was called to be a teacher instead of a pastor or prophet, did he just look to teach a class here or there? No. He took 1 passion, to learn to hear My voice and dedicated an entire year to that 1 discipline. Now he teaches hundreds and thousands equipping My body to hear My voice. And let’s not overlook the second, third, and fourth generations that have been taught by one who taught what another learned from CWG Ministries. Mark will not know the breadth of the impact of his ministry until I return. Think about that. He has taught and is still teaching My people to hear My voice. Many are grasping that vision and running with it. They are teaching others to hear My voice. And they are teaching others as well.

When what I have given to you begins to take a hold of the Body of Messiah; they are going to run with it. It is going to impact the nations. Yes, even as Abraham did not see his descendants multiplied as the stars of heaven in his lifetime; it has come to pass greater than he could have imagined. Now, timing belongs to Me. Rhema is lining up with Kairos. And when that happens there is going to be an explosion of My presence in you in such a way that it will confound everyone who sees it happen. Think on these things. And allow Me to show you great and mighty things that you have not considered.

Grab ahold of My vision afresh. It has become stale, stagnant and is beginning to stink simply because you have stopped stirring it up. You have quit declaring what I have told you will come to pass. You have set aside the vision because of the wounds of your past. Those done unto you; and those you have committed. Let Me stir you again. Leave the timing to Me. Dream. Write down the Vision. Declare it in Faith. Let My Love Flow. Let My Words Flow. See it again. Capture the picture again. Let Me paint it on your spirit with My Spirit.”

Steps to take in your pursuit of God's vision

1. Ask God what dream/vision He has given to you.
2. Commit or recommit yourself to accomplishing this impossible feat through the grace of God.
3. Seek God's guidance by asking for it and tuning to flowing thoughts within. This is His voice. Honor and act on it.
4. Expect God to bring the dream to pass through unexpected divine experiences.
5. Use the five steps to creative prayer.
6. Never quit believing. If necessary, go to your grave believing, as the heroes in faith did (Heb. 11). Many of their prophecies came to pass after they died.
7. Give God ALL the glory for what He accomplishes through your life.
