LaWanda - Oh, Jesus. Precious Lord, Mighty Savior, I praise you this morning. Your word amazes me, Lord, as you reveal in the notes of the Passion the details behind the verses. Your great design becomes evident in the smallest details. Jesus wrapped in swaddling clothes and laying in a manger. Who would ever think that this would be a profound part of the story??? Oh Lord, I am in AWE of you. Help me Lord to remember this moment that you indeed are in the details, Lord. Thank you for revealing this to me.

I see you today, Lord, whispering in my ear and pointing things out as we look over my lifetime. You are showing me the details of my life, Lord, that I missed at the time. Every time your hand was there moving unnoticed by me and yet now so obviously there. Thank you, Jesus that you are ever-present and that you always have been. There was never a time when you were not there.
Jesus - LaWanda, my dear one, my precious, precious one. You are undone in these moments of revelation. When you get a glimpse of who I am, My greatness is more than you can handle and you are left “undone”, a puddle of tears before me. Oh how you have been blessed in these moments, LaWanda. I am ready at all times to reveal myself to all – but not everyone is in a place to receive.
A verse in a devotional. Reading it in the Passion. And, then seeing something else in the process. This is no more an accident than my being laid in a manger in swaddling clothes. I am intent on revealing myself to ALL who are seeking me. And it is those moments when you find me that are so profound. You were seeking me – just by being here reading my word - but you did not expect to experience ME – that the finding of me would be the experience of ME. When you read those notes this morning, even though you had read them before, the fear of the Lord was birthed in you again in the reading. As the profound nature of the weaving of Myself in My word becomes clear, the profoundness of Me, the Lord God Almighty is revealed and you must, in the face of that, be undone. You cannot stand in my presence but you can fall before me and worship. And that is what your undoneness does. It is worship in the presence of your King, your Savior, your God. I have revealed Myself to you on this day, LaWanda with a capital “W”. Revisit this often and you will be blessed again and again.
Luke 2:12, TPT - “You will recognize him by the miracle sign: You will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a feed trough.”
The notes explain why this was a miracle sign. Notes to Luke 2:12, page 159:
“The shepherds that night were possibly near Bethlehem at Midgal Eder, “the (watch) tower of the flock.” This would fulfill both the prophecies of Micah 5:2 and Micah 4:8, which say, “to you it (he) will come, your dominion (kingdom) from old will arrive.” It was at the lower floor of the watchtower (Migdal Eder) that the birthing of the Passover lambs would take place. Selected ewes that were about to give birth would be brought there. After the birth of the lambs, the priestly shepherds would wrap the lambs in cloth and lay them in a manger lined with soft hay to prevent them from hurting themselves, for Passover lambs must be unblemished with no bruise or broken bone. The miracle sign for these priestly shepherds would be a baby boy lying where a Passover lamb should be – in a manger, wrapped in strips of cloth.”
It is also said that the strips of cloths that were used to wrap the lambs were most likely made from the old robes of the priests. Mary might well have gotten these strips of cloth when she visited her cousin Elizabeth, since Zachariah was a priest.
