Politics often becomes extremely negative. This is very unfortunate, as it creates animosity and division. The Spirit leaves when there is no harmony (Ps. 132). God loves the peacemaker and calls us to be peacemakers.
I don't like listening to either conservative or liberal news as both paint the opposite in the worst possible light and put them down. This tarnishes one's spirit. I don’t want my spirit tarnished. So it is crucial I read limited amounts of political news, and journal regularly and see God’s purpose in all that is going on around me. Jesus did. We can!
I don’t like Donald Trump’s nastiness, but I do like many of his policies as I feel they line up with God’s purposes. To be perfectly honest, I don’t like my personality as much as I like my policies. I can easily get agitated emotionally and act in an unbecoming way, but generally, I will calm down, and my policies will be those of righteousness. So, since I extend grace to myself in these situations, I will extend it to Trump and other politicians also.
In light of all this, here is a video showing the positive side of Trump. I was not aware of these things, and I bet you aren’t either. Watch and be inspired, since he is our next president, and we need to be praying for him to perform God’s will during these next four years.

As a female veteran, he did something amazing for me. I had called the WH hotline for help but never in my wildest dreams did I expect Mr. Trump to see my VA disability case is the many issues/all the runarounds I was getting both from the state I was in and the government. I was literally the oldest case in my state and I was completely on the back burner (more than 30 years with no end in sight) and no one seemed to care that I was destitute and desperate. Well, Mr. Trump made a single call to the higher ups state VA within the hour I am suddenly swamped with calls from the VA and the state and my rep telling me "don't give up. We are hot on your case." My attorney told me Mr. Trump had torn them a new one saying "how dare you treat any of our war heroes like this. You ought to be ashamed, but you have no shame. If I ever find that you have treated any other of soldiers like this again, you will be standing in front of me and answering for yourself. Do I make myself clear?" I got so much backpay that I am set for life. He really loves the troops. Not just words but deeds.
In the early 80's my father-in-law worked for Mr. Trump. My car was running bad and we were close to dad's work. I had my daughter with me, she had just learned to walk. Dad came out popped the hood on my car and was looking for the problem. In walked dad's boss and Mr. Trump. His boss was upset he wasn't working on the mowers. Dad stopped and said I'll work through my lunch, just wanted to help my daughter in law and grandbaby get home safe. Mr. Trump spoke up saying you take your lunch, all this will be here when you're done. Family first. I was worried I could have been the cause of Dad losing his job. Also years later Dad passed away sill working for Mr. Trump. He paid for dad's funeral. He's a good man and helps people in need. I've never forgotten that day.
I have never met President Trump but I have met his parents on numerous occasions as they were customers at the pharmacy I worked at as a teen. They were the nicest people in the neighborhood. When delivering to their big house the dad, Fred, would invite you in and gave the biggest tips. The mom, Mary, was very soft spoken and kind with a sweet accent. Lovely people. He looks like his mom.
There's many more stories like that, I grew up on Long Island and known of Trump for a long time. He witnessed someone being mugged, told his driver pull over and he got out of the limo and chased the mugger off.
I got my first glimpse of what a REAL man who has money, cares about others no matter their color or gender or religion etc. in the early 80’s. I was in the military at the time and I will never forget the exact spot where I was standing when I heard the story of the limousine broken down on the NJ Turnpike. Trump paid off the couple’s home, and the part not mentioned in the video was that he also sent hundreds of flowers to the family's home! I’ve been hooked on him ever since!
