simple terms
Paul was a highly educated man by the standards of his day, yet when he preached the gospel he was determined to know nothing but Christ and him crucified. You also are educated and know much more than this. Have you ever encountered situations in which adding more made things worse instead of better? The basic plan of salvation is simple. You can present it in complex terms like propitiation and absolution, or you can present it in simple terms such as saying yes to me, and generally the simpler the better. My word cautions you against adding to or detracting from the basic message.
