God Jealously Desires His Spirit Within Us

"He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us" (Jas. 4:5 NASB).   

God reminded me that my heart, joined to His Spirit, has tremendous creative capacity to incubate (and birth) either good or evil, wonder or defilement, joy or despair, life or death, depending on whom I listen to.

James goes on to describe the things I should be careful not to do so that I am properly yielding the creative capacity of my heart and spirit to God ALONE, allowing Him to jealously be the ONLY One Who imprints messages upon my heart.

How to honor God's jealous desire and keep my heart pure and life-giving

1. No self-pride: He gives a greater grace. Therefore, it says, "GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE." Submit therefore to God. (Jas. 4:6,7)
2. Resist the devil: Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. (Jas. 4:7,8)
3. Be cleansed of sin: Cleanse your hands, you sinners. (Jas. 4:8)
4. No doubt: Purify your hearts, you double-minded. (Jas. 4:8)
5. Repent completely: Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. (Jas 4:9)
6. Let God exalt me in His time: Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. (Jas 4:10)
7. Watch my mouth: Do not speak against one another, brethren. He who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge of it. (Jas 4:11,12)
8. Cool the judging: There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you who judge your neighbor? (Jas 4:12)
9. Stop boasting about the future: Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit." Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. Instead, you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that." But as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil. (Jas 4:13-16)
10. Do the RIGHT thing: Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin. (Jas 4:17)

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things (Phil. 4:8).

Journaling

Mark, I brought mankind into existence by breathing My Spirit into him at creation. Then in man’s re-creation at salvation and Pentecost (Jn. 3:6; 20:22; Acts 2:1-4), I breathed on man once again and re-ignited his spirit with My Spirit so effortless communion and power could be restored (1 Cor. 6:17; 12:4).

I am jealous to watch over My Spirit, which I have placed within man. It is a part of Me. It is My light, My glory, My creativity, My wisdom, My knowledge, My all and all. It is ME alive within man, and I am jealous that it not be defiled by incubating and creating evil. I jealously desire that it ONLY creates good.

Yes, now man has My creative powers and man has the freedom to choose to yield to Me, or to yield to the desires of the flesh or the wickedness of the accuser. My passion is that man choose to yield totally and completely to Me, including the passions of the flesh and the wicked temptations of the evil one.

Although I am a jealous God, I have chosen to grant the freedom to man to choose Me and ONLY Me and to renounce the carnality of the flesh and the evil thoughts and imaginations of the wicked one. I am asking mankind to YIELD to My Spirit’s flow within them to overcome the darkness of satan, his demons, and the carnality of the flesh.

Each person chooses whom he will yield to: the purity and light of My Spirit's flow, the evil and darkness of satan’s flow, or the passions and sensuality of the flesh.

Choose wisely. Choose light, not darkness. Choose Me and not the evil one. Choose purity over sensuality. Choose life and not death, light and not darkness.

As you choose ONLY Me, My light fills you, My glory fills you, My creativity fills you, My anointing and My health fill you. You become filled with My light, radiating My glory, walking in My presence, anointed with My power and purpose, and you fulfill the destiny I have called you to.

So do not be double-minded. Be pure in heart. Be a child of Abraham, a child of faith. Let My light so shine that all who see it will be drawn to Me. Be children of the light, carriers of My grace, vessels of My wisdom and My glory. In this, you have fulfilled your call and destiny, in that you have glorified your God.

This is what it means when it says I jealously seek the spirit that I have placed within you. I jealously seek that it be kept pure, and that your soul and mind and body be lit by the light of My glory.

Behold, I have spoken. Behold, it is to be done.

Hearing God's voice is as simple as: 1) quieting down (Ps. 62:1-5), 2) beholding Jesus at my right hand (Ps. 16:8; Acts 2:25), 3) asking for His revelation and tuning to flowing thoughts and flowing pictures (Jn. 7:37-39; Jer. 2:13; 10 pictures), and 4) recording this flow (Hab. 2:1,2; Rev. 1:9-11). Thought: Our hearts are to be aglow with ONLY God’s divine light, love, wisdom, and truth, NEVER an incubator for satan’s lies, deceptions, half-truths, and destructive ways.
