Dear Lord, what do You want to say to me concerning journaling? How important is journaling in my life? What time during my day is it best for me to journal?
I see waterfalls, and Jesus and I are standing on top of it.
The scene changes to a beach but there are gloomy clouds ahead and as if thunder and there are people riding on horses and I see myself riding on a horse and the horse is moving fast… and I see Jesus coming up on a horse riding along with me…
The scene changes, I see Jesus handing me a pearl and as I touch it, it flows upward, and a dove catches it…
Me: Lord what do You want to say to me concerning journaling and its importance in my life?
Vision: I see an antique-looking library and Jesus is sitting behind a desk, smiling, and there are antique writing tools on the desk…
Jesus: Cathy, journaling is about connecting with Me… it is not about a task or anything else, but a deeper way of connecting… a way of seeing into the spiritual realm in that very moment… Many times you felt a real connection and presence of Me, and that is true… it is real… I want to speak to you and commune with you and build this precious relationship… I don’t want the distractions of life to catch up to you that you forget to sit in My presence to hear Me speak and for Me to hear your thoughts, questions, and concerns… please my child, do not let the burdens and distractions of life and what is to come cause you to put aside our precious quiet time with each other… I long to speak to you and be an active part in your life… I already am an active part in your life… but I want to show you that I can be the voice of wisdom and love and encouragement in the small and big things of your life… you don’t have to do this alone… I don’t want you to live in survival mode. I want you to thrive, and I want to show you and lead you into that moment step by step… you don’t believe at times for a comeback… but there will be… just take a leap of faith and courage one day at a time with Me… will you take My hand?
Vision: I see Jesus stretch out His hand to me.
Me: Yes Lord, I will take Your hand and I want to walk side by side with You and I want You to lead me into all that You have for me… I cherish these special moments with You… for in Your presence is fullness of life and joy and rest and healing… it is different than what is around me…
Lord, is there a time during the day that best suits me for journaling and spending time with You?
Vision: I still see Jesus in the library setting and He is still sitting behind the desk, smiling, and He reaches for a feathered pen and He is writing something…
Jesus: Cathy, I just want you to spend time with Me… I know at times your schedule can be all over, filled with things… but I need you to always make Me a priority… whenever you see you have the time, take it and sit with Me… I will be waiting for you… remember, I long to spend time with you…. I paid the price for that on the cross… receive My love, My love that quiets all fear and tiredness and sadness… just keep Me, as you always have, number one in your life…. Not anyone or anything else… for I am moving in your life and things will come your way… but keep Me number one in your life. Perhaps at times the busyness or laziness or distractions may be strong, but remember I am stronger, and I know your love and longing for Me will conquer these weaknesses each time, but make the decision in your mind that you will to spend time with Me…I love you, my child. Rest in My peace and presence.
Me: Hallelujah, amen Lord. I receive Your words of counsel and encouragement and I rest in Your love and presence… I desire to make You a priority and I pray for the strength to overcome distractions or attacks of the enemy over our precious time. I love you too, Lord.
