God Speaks at Tim Horton's - While Standing in Line!

Dennis Atwater, a Christian Leadership University student, shares the following: Today while driving to work through the forest near where I live I wanted to step out and try to "see" as I have been learning in the course 4 Keys to Hearing God's Voice.

First I began praying in the spirit, I had a CD by Julie True playing quietly. Then I began to piece together a picture and wanted to see details and eventually build into a larger vision. First I pictured myself walking by a sea shore. Then I "saw" minute details such as smooth stones and some fragments of sea weed on the ground and looked to see what I had on for shoes.

As I was doing this I noticed through the fog a small fire and Jesus called quietly to me. He was sitting on a log by the fire. His back was to me and I could see His hair. It was somewhat wavy, black and shiny. I sat on the log next to Him and He spoke to me about a couple of things. I asked if I could add some wood to the fire as there was a slight chill in the air. He basically gave me two thoughts that I wanted to write as soon as I got to work and He will expand more upon these over time. They follow.

Conditioning - Learn to develop the pictures as you have started. Most of the pictures you have are natural and that is to be expected. The images of violence and lust you must discard immediately and they will fade quickly if you will not engage with them.

The pictures you are looking into now are developed the same as any pictures you use in your imagination. You have to be trained to see. The enemy and the world knows that to capture your imagination you have to first be "conditioned". This conditioning takes place over your entire life.  As you progress in these exercises you also will become conditioned to "seeing " the things of the Kingdom. This also is a lifestyle and lifetime experience if you so desire. More on this later.

Breakthrough - You have watched and listened to ministers and prayers being sent up that the people are crying out for Me to "rend the heavens" and "breakthrough" into the atmosphere of the place they are gathered or on behalf of those they care about. These prayers are sincere and I love them for their desire to have Me be present with them.

But I am not resisting their prayers. I am not being held back by their lack of devotion or other entities. I never will violate anyone's free will and therefore will never "beak through" where I am not invited. The reality is that all you have to do to be with Me is of your own free will come to Me and fellowship with Me and the "breakthrough" has already occurred. For where 2 or 3 are gathered in My name I am with you. When you gather simply believe I am there and be still and know that I am God. I will lead you into what I desire and then you will experience My desires for that place and time.

I wrote this "poem" while waiting in line at Tim Horton's for coffee when I got into town. I am beginning to listen and be in His presence even as I go about my normal daily activities:

Father wills the

Word breathes out the

Spirit shines forth the

Love of God is shed abroad and the

Heart of man is made alive forevermore.

I have never desired to or attempted to write "poetically." In fact I was going to write this as a sentence and the Lord showed me write it out with the structure as it is here. Yeah, I learned that, even in line waiting for coffee, rather than grouse about the wait use each "free" moment to practice the 4 Keys. He will speak if I create the frame of mind and atmosphere to hear Him.

Later in the day I jokingly thought if I should have asked Jesus to buy, and immediately this thought came, "When Peter asked for tax money I told him to go fishing!" I laughed out loud.
