Growing in the Healing Anointing

The exciting testimony below is from Sybil Hamada, one of our graduate students who lives in Honolulu, Hawaii. She has just completed the Christian Leadership University course, REN507 Healing Anointing, and has found an increase in the healing anointing that flows out through her. Thank You, Lord, for courses which can stimulate faith and understanding and precipitate an increased anointing in our lives!

Through this teaching, I have learned my place in His body is just as vital to His ministry as those who are high-profile figures in the community church as well as the corporate Church.  I never thought of myself to be of much importance in church.  I really felt like I was insignificant, but I had a heart to pray and see people healed and delivered.  I also loved to encourage the broken-hearted. 

Then one day while I was crying out to God to use me for His kingdom, I felt both of my hands become electrified.  Some of my fingers began to twitch!  This went on for several minutes, and the more I cried out to Him and spoke in tongues, the more my hands increased in this electricity.  I didn’t know what was happening to me; I had never felt anything like it before.  I thought I was having a stroke or mild heart attack, but I was not in pain at all. 

I kept this experience to myself for several weeks, but began to notice that when I laid my hands on someone and prayed for healing, the electricity would return and flow out of my hands and into the person.  The person would be healed!

Every time this happens, I feel humbled and honored that God would choose to use a simple person in church to do His great and mighty works.  I have come to realize that I am a precious and wanted child of God, and it was God who gave me the desire to lay hands on the sick, hurting, and oppressed and see them healed and delivered in Jesus’ name.
