Question: Lord, how do I teach truth without getting angry?
Mark, you share your story and your mishaps, your repentance, your new position in Christ, and the BENEFITS of walking in obedience to My word.
It is experiencing and seeing the benefit of the endeavor that makes one choose it.
You saw the benefit of reading when you read the “We Were There” series of books in 5th grade. These books took you places. They were living stories. You fell in love with reading because you loved living stories. That is why I say, “Your story is your sword.”
People love living stories. They experience the truth along with you as you tell your story, and they are challenged and changed by the story.
Tell your story. [Side note: The Gospels tell the story of Jesus’ life and the Bible is primarily a story book.]
Yes, you can tell your story about smooching with demons, hugging demons, and kissing demons. People will laugh and come to grips with the realization that they too smooch with the voice of accusation within them. They too love and kiss and intertwine themselves with such demonic forces.
Then they find that they live in a box labeled, “I can’t.”
The playing field I have called them to play on is “I can” (Phil. 4:13).
Everyone is constantly moving from the “I can’t” box to the “I can” playing field. That is the process of life. That is the light of Christ getting brighter and brighter within each person's heart until the dawning of the full day of Christ in their hearts (2 Pet. 1:19).
I call them into this rather than drive them into this. Each person responds to the call of God at a different speed. That is their choice. I do not drive.
You do not drive. You call.
Calling leads one higher. Driving doesn’t work, as sheep will scatter if you try to drive them. The Good Shepherd leads, He does not drive (Jn. 10:1-21). You are to lead, not drive. Your stories offer people the opportunity to choose to follow a leader. I never drove my disciples (Jn. 6:66,67). I led them. They came slowly and at different speeds, and that is OK, that is the way life is (Mk. 4:3-9). That is what you are to do.
Yes, Lord. Thank You, Lord.

Where am I angry at people, events, and things, and how do You want me to be a leader in these situations? How would You have me lift up the standard of truth and righteousness so others could follow (Isa. 62:10)?
