Twenty-Minute Immersion into the Spirit's Healing Stream

The Setting of the Healing Service

This service took place at the Samuel's Mantle annual conference. Murray Dueck is the founder and president of Samuel's Mantle, where he trains prophets through his three-year program.

We had a wonderful healing service. We experienced powerful healing worship, a revelation-based teaching and then broke into groups of 3-5 and prayed for one another for 20 minutes. During these 20 minutes, everyone followed the leading of the Holy Spirit as they soaked in God’s healing rays.

Many shared testimonies of remarkable healings. One man whom I was planning to pray for because of the intense pain in his back received his healing during the worship that took place before the teaching. Others also received healing during the anointed worship time. Many others experienced healing during the 20-minute Spirit soaking time after the teaching. Some were even healed as they drove home.

My heart tells me that those who were most sensitive to the Spirit and followed His instructions most closely received the best results. 

What Happened During This Healing Service

The service began with an awesome time of spiritual worship. A prophetic word was spoken and many came to the front and laid on the floor during the worship and experienced God's healing presence. 

Mark Virkler presented a training on "Stepping into the Spirit’s Healing Stream" which consisted of two main principles:

• Principle 1 - Respond to the Spirit's invitation, "Come, be one with Me.“
• Principle 2 - Think, feel and act only on God's revelation.

This training was followed by a 20-minute divine healing prayer experience. The goal of the prayer encounter was to be 100% aware of and immersed in the Holy Spirit as He ministered wisdom, revelation and power. We would pray as He led thus removing all blocks to healing as God's instructions were honored and obeyed. Together, as a small group of 3-5 praying together, a fullness of God's revelation was released and acted on.

One big block to healing is anger, so we were sensitive of the need to forgive ourselves, others, the situation and even God for allowing this to happen (Mk. 11:23-25). Another key is bringing our body, soul and spirit into full alignment to what God is speaking. If any parts of our triune being (thoughts, emotions, actions) are protesting and in disagreement, it blocks the flow of God’s healing power. We taught steps to make things easy. We shared what to expect as these steps are taken. Now that we have gotten ourselves out of the way  God can move unhindered. We are tuned to Him, experiencing Him and responding to Him.

If not fully healed in the first 20-minute encounter, you simply do it over again, and again. We need to do something in our daily devotions so why not a 20-minute healing soaking encounter?

What is a twenty-minute immersion in God's Healing Stream? We stay immersed in the Holy Spirit for 20 minutes having a revelation-based power encounter, seeing the Holy Spirit, feeling His presence and power, hearing and obeying His instruction, and experiencing His unhindered flow of healing power.

And just to be clear, healing is a wonderful work of His Spirit, so we never take any credit or glory for what God does.

One minister I highly respect for his healing crusades was known to say, "The Holy Spirit doesn't show up 'til after 1:00 in the morning." I suspect the reason that appeared so, is because by that time, people are so tired that their minds, wills and emotions are out of the way so they can fully encounter the Holy Spirit without resisting. I believe this 20-minute immersion exercise can get the job done before 1:00 in the morning.
