At His Feet – Journaling Prayer by LaWanda

LaWanda – O Jesus, precious Lord, forgive me for yielding to my flesh and desiring sleep more than you today.  Refresh my body, Lord, so that I am physically energized.  Refresh my mind so that my mind is alive.  Refresh my soul, Lord, so that my heart is turned toward you, eager to spend time with you.  Thank you, Lord, that I do not have to carry guilt and condemnation around with me.  I can refuse to accept it at all and move forward, coming again to your feet.

At your feet, Lord, under the shelter of the wings of the Almighty, that’s where you’ll find me today.  My face is on your feet, Lord, my cheeks resting there. And my tears flow, Lord, covering your feet.  They are tears of love, tears of sorrow, tears of awe at your holiness.  I can’t move, Lord.  I don’t want to move, Lord.  I don’t even want to breathe, so precious is this moment.  Thank you, Lord.  Thank You.

Jesus – LaWanda, my dear one, my precious one.  O how I love having you here.  Having you so close is life-changing for you.  Being touched by me, even my feet, changes you.  And this is where your heart desires to be even if the rest of you does not.  Yes, you have things to do. Yes, you have to work.  Yes, you have to take care of Momma and Mike, but this place…at my feet…like my love, is the basis of it all.  It is here, humbled and surrendered, that I can begin my work in you.  Until that surrender happens, all that you do “spiritually” is in your mind only.  But when you surrender, you are opening your heart, giving it to me and allowing me to do the work that will transform you.  Your mind “thinks” things, but your heart KNOWS things.  And it is out of this knowing that you must live.  It is out of this knowing that AWE abides in you.  The fear of the Lord that is physical fear lives in your mind. But the Fear of the Lord, which is AWE and reverence lives in your heart, your spirit, where I abide.

Precious one, spend time here today.  Spend time thanking me, loving me, opening your heart to me.  It is my desire…and yours.
