I define inner healing as "allowing God to replace the pictures in the art gallery of your mind, removing pictures that do not have Jesus in them and replacing them with pictures that do." Vision: I see myself as an 8-year-old child, in a classroom and the teacher is standing upfront and she called me to the front of the class to stand. I was innocent when I spoke about something in truth, I didn’t do anything wrong, and she was humiliating me by making me stand in front of the class while yelling at me and calling me names.
I see the window open, and then I see Jesus, wearing His white robe, walk through the opened window and step into the scene.
The scene changes, I am still at this age, but I am wearing a nice black sparkly ball gown dress and walking down the stairs and Jesus is next to me. Jesus then takes my hand and twirls me around. I see myself walk back into that classroom wearing the dress. And I see Jesus, standing with me in front of the classroom, taking a needle, as if fixing something from the dress.
Jesus: Cathy, My sweet child, I know how much this incident caused you pain. And it shaped you the rest of your life with such fear of speaking out on the truth, and speaking in front of people. You learned to be silent, to the point where you made yourself into a nobody because of fear of people and rejection and humiliation. You have withheld so many times from speaking your opinions and sharing it in a group or with people because of this bad experience. And in those times, I wanted to use your thoughts and opinions for My glory, but you let the fear settle in.
But that is no longer the case, My child. As I tailor your dress in front of the class, it is a representation that I am tailoring this bad event that shaped a part of your personality, which wasn’t meant to be. I will deliver you and give you such boldness to stand and speak up. And if you face rejection, do not let it define you. For I have made you and have given you a wonderful personality with wonderful thoughts and opinions and advice and I want you to share it, not just one on one, but have more courage to speak up. Do not doubt. I will heal and give you freedom and boldness. Receive this, My child.
Cathy: Amen Lord. Yes, I want You to break off my fear of people and speaking and give me boldness. Thank You because You are with me and You are healing and delivering me. I breath in Your peace and assurance. I choose to walk in Your boldness and courage, and not to give into my fears. I praise Your holy name.
