Overview from Pastor Vijay Christian: Babji is an anointed and passionate evangelist who takes care of our house churches and is a manager of our A2J band, worship and secular concerts.
I greet you all in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My name is Babji and I live in the city of Visakhapatnam, which is called “The City of Destiny”. I was born in a Christian family but raised up as a nominal Christian. My father is a terrible drunkard, used to beat my mom every day, lot of debts, no peace at home. I grew up in shame, loneliness, fear and depression and many times we had nothing to eat at home.
In the midst of all this pain, my mom started praying to God for peace in my family and my dad to come out of his drinking. God heard her prayers and my dad stopped drinking completely. My father accepted Jesus as his personal savior and his debts were cleared slowly and there is now peace in my family.
Previously in my house there was no peace and because of God’s grace we have peace. I never attended a good church in my childhood and I knew nothing about God. Once in the church God spoke to me through the word then I confessed my sin and came to know about God. In the year 2007 I was baptized though I didn’t learn any more about God at that time.
In 2007 I started attending college for my degree. Nearby my college there used to be a Friends' Meet house church gathering. A friend called Vijay took me to that gathering and from that moment my life began to change.
One day Vijay spoke on a topic of broken hearts until then I had doubt why I was living and why I was born but when I heard about the broken hearts, I was so blessed through scripture, Isaiah 61:1. While Vijay was speaking I received confirmation regarding my calling. After a few months I came to know what was calling and what vision was. I didn’t even know how to talk to others, but after coming to Friends' Meet through my leader I came to learn everything that is needed. Praise to be God!
In the year 2010, God gave me the grace to be in charge of the evangelism department for Friends' Meet Ministries. In February 2011, I completed my diploma in fire and safety course. And by God's Grace I even got a job with the safety department. While I was doing my job, God spoke to me through the word Isaiah 61:1 , Mark 8:36, 1 Chronicle 28:20 and 2 Thessalonians 3:3. Then I spoke to my leader Vijay and he prayed about it. Obeying to God’s word, I came to full time ministry. By his exceeding Grace, after coming to a full time ministry God began to use me.
I don’t know what calling is, but by his grace, in Friends' Meet Ministry, my leader Vijay taught me that my calling is an evangelist. God has given me the grace to do personal evangelism. God has helped me to start house churches and gave me Vision through James 1:26-27. To feed the children and orphans and giving them the best schools. As we choose the best schools and clothing for our kids the same must be given to the orphans and widows taken care of. This is my desire and vision and burden God has given me.
