Don't Stop Pressing On
The oppression of others can be like lead hanging on our shoulders. That’s how I felt one afternoon as I beheld my patient. He was young and lean. More than lean. Skinny. Like the kind of skinny that comes with drug and alcohol abuse.



The discussion of violence and Christianity is a touchy one. For some there will always be some kind of justifiable violence and for others there is no good excuse. In fact, a pacifist is one that doesn’t believe any violence is justifiable.

There seems to be a thread buried deep in many of us that screams about the supposed injustice of pastors/ministry leaders having nice things, top of the line things. We consciously, and subconsciously, think pastors are broke or on the lower end of the financial pool and should be.

I used to be the one on the wall searching for things to warn others about, people to warn others about. But as my vision of Jesus went from blurry to clear, my understanding of what love looks like lived out did the same. I can’t say I always walk in perfect love perfectly, but I’m trying.
