“Yes, I know it has been a long day for you. Much has happened since we last talked. Step back into the love that is with Me. Fix your eyes on the love that is with Me.  Fix your eyes on a vision of the Father. Oh, My eyes are tender to your wounds, worries and fears.  I’m here to speak with you; and to bring you comfort.  Walk through the gates of Christmas Mountain. Do not be afraid to bring to Me all your fears and concerns, and worries.”

Matthew 1:1-17 The Message

“Look at Matthew 1. This is part of the Nativity Story often missed.  The reason, you see, for the genealogy is a summary of history. In each name are stories. This genealogy is a shortcut; a prelude. With television shows, you say ‘previously, on’. This is a similar shortcut. It is like when you read the opening crawl before the big Star Wars movies. It is a summary of what has gone on before.”

“See Me pouring you a nice, warm cup of hot chocolate, made with real milk; real chocolate and of course, with marshmallows on top because I am comfort.”

“Here, take this and re-read Matthew 1:18-25, act it out, speak it out, for it’s a real story.”
