The disciples were aware that when Jesus prayed, things happened. He was tapping into the power of His Heavenly Father and then releasing that on earth. So one day they asked Him, "Lord, teach us to pray" (Matt. 6:8). Jesus responded with the guidance stated below, which we have laid out as a pattern which you can pray, and journal your responses to each section of the Lord's prayer.
In my devotions, as I watched the Sea of Galilee DVD and walked with Jesus along the Sea of Galilee, I told the Lord I would like to see my mother. She died when I was one year old.
As we look at the elections this fall, we recognize there are no perfect candidates. Each contestant has their own flaws. This is true for each of us also. No one is perfect, except for Jesus Christ, and He is not running for president.

Worship is a high priority at the church where I pastor. In fact, I served for many years as a worship leader before planting Church on Fire. We have been blessed as a church to feel a strong sense of the presence of God as we gather for worship. However, lately something has seemed off. I thought it was just me until one of our leaders brought it up at a meeting. I know that the people in our congregation love the Lord and were worshipping Him, but maybe the Lord was trying to lead us to a deeper understanding of worship. So I asked Him about it, “Papa, something seems off in our worship experience. Can You help me to understand what we are missing?”
