The Family That Journals Together

Mark Virkler's picture

Just over three years ago I, Lisa Verbruggen, was introduced to hearing the Voice of God and knew right away that it was a gift I wanted to give my children.  I purchased the book for teens and we began going through it, simplifying it where needed for them.  We went through it twice and by the end they were all hearing God's voice as part of our morning devotion times. They receive so easily and readily.

One thing I have seen through their journaling is how much God desires to establish His great love for them.  I have also seen the security they experience resting in His love.   A few times in the last year after some challenging days for our family, I took the morning off to soak and journal with the children.  They received so much I was unable to give them at the time.  They can receive from their perfect Heavenly Father.

Initiative - Should I Take It? by Charity Kayembe

Mark Virkler's picture

My daughter Charity has an excellent word about Jesus' example for us. He lived out of divine initiative, doing only what He saw His Father do and heard His Father speak.

How can we make that work in our everyday life? What does it actually look like for us? Charity gets into all this and more and I trust you'll be blessed by the message she shares.

Enjoy!

Transition of a CLU Staff Member

Mark Virkler's picture

We are sad to see Dr. Karen King leave our CLU staff after 11 years of blessing our students with her service. However, we rejoice with her over the new season the Lord is bringing her into! Karen has started a church in Ohio, and as it has continued to flourish her pastoral responsibilities have become more demanding, making it difficult for her to continue on as a CLU instructor.

Seeing: Is It a Gift or a Skill? by Charity Kayembe

Mark Virkler's picture

My daughter Charity has some great thoughts about seeing in the spirit and hearing God's voice. Is the ability to sense the spirit a divinely-imparted gift bestowed on a few? Or is it a skill that we can all learn to cultivate and develop through time and practice?

You'll appreciate her word and I trust it will be a great encouragement to you to keep pressing in for all the Lord has for you.

Be blessed!

Seven Steps to Mastery

Mark Virkler's picture

What does it take to become a skilled, anointed leader in an area, in any area of life? Let’s say, for instance, we desire to master the release of God’s miracle-working power flowing out through our lives so that suffering is alleviated and the kingdom of God is extended. How does one successfully release the gift of miracles? Having just returned from the Voice of the Apostles Conference and being scheduled to do a miracle service myself, I am immersed in this question. I need healing and miracles to work!

Angels: God's Servants, My Friends

Mark Virkler's picture

My daughter, Charity Kayembe, received so much wonderful feedback from her angel series. Thanks to everyone who emailed and commented on them. We were also asked to put all the posts together in order and in one place, so we've done that below.

While the initial series is over, she'll continue sharing more posts on angels in the future. We invite you to check out Charity's latest articles on Everyday Angels at her new website: GloryWaves.org

Satan Stole the Revelation God Gave Me

Mark Virkler's picture

The following is a testimony of how satan stole the revelation of "how to hear God's voice" from Greg Bachnik.

I learned to hear God’s voice online but didn’t have much experience when you (Mark Virkler) visited my church back in the late 90’s and taught your course on two-way journaling.  It was absolutely amazing.  In fact our church became on fire with our conversations with God.  We were in the midst of the revival that Toronto spawned and they were such wonderful times.

But for whatever reason our pastor became upset with what was going on and spoke against our two-way conversations, saying something like, “If God is just saying good stuff, if there is no conviction against sin in your conversation, it is not God.” In other words, he was sin focused and expected God to be as well.
