Politics often becomes extremely negative. This is very unfortunate, as it creates animosity and division. The Spirit leaves when there is no harmony (Ps. 132). God loves the peacemaker and calls us to be peacemakers.

I don't like listening to either conservative or liberal news as both paint the opposite in the worst possible light and put them down. This tarnishes one's spirit. I don’t want my spirit tarnished. So it is crucial I read limited amounts of political news, and journal regularly and see God’s purpose in all that is going on around me. Jesus did. We can!

It’s Christmas morning. The world is quiet, yet filled with excitement. Love is in the air. Joy is in the air. Family reunions are in the air. Heaven's atmosphere fills earth more heavily today than perhaps any other day of the year.

Today we celebrate the realization that God loved us so much, He sent Jesus, His son to become part of the human race, to save us from our life of separation from Him and restore daily communion with our heavenly Father.
