What would you do if you only had a few hours to share My heart with this man? - By Matt Berry

Mark Virkler's picture

That was the question the Holy Spirit asked me, now almost two years ago. I had woken up like any other day, poured a cup of coffee and sat half-awake with the intention to connect with God. I read some Scripture, I prayed aloud, and then I waited in the stillness for Him to speak. (This blog introduces a new book by Matthew Berry, a CLU student.)

Get OFF the Fence!

Mark Virkler's picture

Introduction: Would you agree that it's time for pastors and the Church to do what our founding fathers did and fight for religious freedom and liberty? I think we all agree that America is in a crisis moment. The Covid “pandemic” (as it is being called) is being used by some to undermine our liberties. If that's not enough, half the nation believes the election was stolen. Big tech, mainstream news, government, and education have teamed up to push a one-sided narrative and are working hard to keep other voices from being heard. Christian voices are being silenced by being removed from Facebook, YouTube, and other media outlets. So how can I respond? With FEAR? Wring my hands in defeat? Declare wickedness must advance before the coming of the Lord? NO, I don’t think so.

New Book by Dr. Raynold Milfort - Anointed Discipleship

Mark Virkler's picture

I have waited for this book to be written for many years. One statement I love in this book, which also expresses the main theme of the book, is that "to fulfill the Lord’s commission to disciple nations, people have to see wonders, miracles, deliverance, healings and even experience the resurrection of the dead through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

This is the form of ministry and evangelism Jesus practiced. Jesus ministered a compassionate, loving, healing touch to all He encountered. The Church today must do the same. This book will help you minister and evangelize in the same manner as Jesus.

Dr. Raynold Milfort has received his doctorate from Christian Leadership University. I was proud to write the above endorsement for his book, Anointed Discipleship. THIS is what will fulfill the Great Commission.

I Really Want to be Part of a Small Group that Is ANOINTED and LIFE-GIVING!

Mark Virkler's picture

When I began pastoring in the late 1970’s, we created small groups which met weekly for sharing, Bible study, prayer for personal needs, and fellowship. Everyone completed the assigned study during the week, and came to the meetings prepared to share what God had revealed to them during their meditation upon Scripture. We worked our way “Through the Bible” with a 2-year program. Years later, people have commented that this was the place they received their grounding in Scripture.

Romancing the King of Kings

Mark Virkler's picture

Romance is at the heart of the universe. It is the key to our existence. As Christians, we are engaged to Jesus, ruling with Him now, and soon to become His bride (Rev. 21:9; 3:21). So let's learn the principles of romance!

Just as our earthly romance with our spouse is composed of acts of endearment, so is our romance with the Lord Jesus Christ. We covered the ingredients of a good marriage in this blog, now let's apply them to our romance with the King of Kings. These concepts are from the Four Gifts of Love® Online Institute and their website is highly recommended.

Create and Sustain Romantic Love to Last a Lifetime

Mark Virkler's picture

Imagine the passion of romantic love being kept alive all through your lifetime. Is it possible? Absolutely! The pain of a divorce or living with a stale marriage is impetus enough for each of us to choose to invest deeply into keeping romance alive in our marriages. If first love is lost, the Bible is clear that we can go back and do the things we first did and restore our first love (Rev. 2:4,5). Now that is exciting! The principles below can be applied to restoring our first love with God and our marriage partner.
