My Prodigals and the Lost – Journaling Prayer by LaWanda

LaWanda - ♪♪ Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! How I've proved Him o'er and o’er.  Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! Oh, for grace to trust Him more!  O Jesus, precious Lord, help me on this day to love and trust you more.

I see you today, Lord, as the Good Shepherd.  You have all your sheep around you, except one.  One has strayed away.  At some point you leave “the 99” and begin to search for the one who has gone away.  Of course, you already know everything about him, where he has gone and why, but you calmly seek him out.   And when you see you him, you smile and call him to you.  As you pick him up to carry him home, there is no struggle from the lamb.  He is content to have been found and finds comfort in your arms.  Lord, even as I write this, I see the prodigals in my family who have gone away from you or who do not yet know you.  And I see this process of you going after each one of them repeated again and again until they have all been brought home.  What a glorious faith-building picture you have given me today.  To know that you know exactly where each one of them is hiding, Lord, is quite comforting as is the fact that you are actively seeking them.  Even though I have known this - that you came to seek and to save that which was lost – for many years, seeing the picture of my prodigals being saved has made it more real to me than it has ever been before. Now I can truly rest in this, Lord, and trust that you have them and are bringing them home.  Thank you, thank you, Jesus.

Jesus – LaWanda, my dear one, my precious one, know this:  I am always seeking those who are lost and confused.  Holy Spirit is continually calling to them.  And when they hear His voice, I am there, ready to carry them home.  Continue to pray that the scales will drop from their eyes, their ears and their hearts and that they will hear Holy Spirit as He calls them.  Use My Word as you pray for them.  These prayers are never wasted, LaWanda.  Never.  So keep on praying until you see it come to pass, and, in the meantime, always trusting that it WILL come to pass…in My perfect timing.
