Never… Not EVER – Journaling Prayer by LaWanda

LaWanda – ♪♪ Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, there’s just something about that name.  Master, Savior, Jesus, like the fragrance after the rain.  Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, let all heaven and earth proclaim, kings and kingdoms will all pass away but there’s something about that name. ♪♪

Thank you, Jesus, for your presence.  Thank you, Lord, for never loosening your grip on my life.  O precious Jesus, I could not do this life without you.  You are my Savior, my Lord and my King.  O Jesus, precious Lord, remind me when I forget.

I see you, Lord, behind me.  You gently wrap your arms around me and whisper in my ear.  How precious are your words to me, Jesus.  They fill me up, Lord, until I am overflowing.  I love you, Lord.  I love you.

Jesus – LaWanda, My dear one, my precious one.  It is my good pleasure to give you the Kingdom and that includes these words of encouragement.  When they are coming from me, you can never get enough of them.  Picture my hand on your collar, just resting there when you are in tune with Me and then gently tugging on it when you are not.  But always, it is a reminder of my promise to you, My everlasting promise.  I will never leave you. NEVER!  I will not loosen My grip on your life.  Never means Never, dear one.  Not EVER!  And that is a very long time, LaWanda.  A very long time.

This verse came alive for me one morning as I was having my quiet time with the Lord. It was a part of a devotional that I was reading and when I read those words, I was immediately transported to the day I tried to commit suicide so many years ago.  In this vision, I was standing on the edge of a cliff and then I jumped.  The next thing that I knew the hand of Jesus reached down and grabbed me by the collar and pulled me back to safety.  The words of Jesus to me then were: “I will never leave you, LaWanda, NEVER!  And I will not loosen My grip on your life.”  I believe Him and know without doubt that this is true.  This is TRUTH. He will not allow His faithfulness to fail.  He cannot.
