Perfection…Yours or Mine? – Journaling Prayer by LaWanda

LaWanda –♪♪ I love you, Lord, and I lift my voice to honor you, O my soul rejoice.  Take joy, my King, in what you hear.  May it be a sweet, sweet sound in Your ear! ♪♪ O Jesus, this is my prayer today.  This is my prayer, dear Lord.

Precious Jesus, it has been 6 days since I sat down before You.  I am dumbfounded when I see this, Lord.  How can this be?  Every day it has been - something.  I said, Lord, that I would do Jesus First.  You first, before computer, before TV, before phone, before ANYTHING else.  I even made a list of what Jesus First was to look like.  Yes, I had those heart episodes and yes, I stayed in the hospital overnight but what about the other 4 days?  O Lord, forgive me.  It scares me that I can so easily, so callously disregard my time with You.  What has amazed me is that I can spend so much time on the computer watching videos.  One just leads to another. And then there are the Astros, Lord.  O Jesus, help me to figure out a way to control this computer time that is so useless.  It is entertainment for sure but I am learning nothing and I am putting myself where temptation can easily penetrate my mind. 

I really saw that this morning when I was watching a video and one of the ads was for the Silva Mind Control Method.  Even though I knew what this was, instead of clicking off of it, Lord, I watched the whole thing.  And it was very seductive.  Another shortcut to success.  But a shortcut without YOU is not a shortcut at all!  Lord Jesus, that is not what I want.  I only want YOU!  Help me, Jesus, to keep my eyes on YOU.  Forgive me, Lord Jesus.  I turn my eyes and my heart to YOU.  Thank you, Lord, that you never leave us and that there is no sin that is not covered by the CROSS!

Jesus – LaWanda, my dear one.  I see everything and I know how distractions begin…And how they grow.  I see you start and I see you stop.  This is what they call life, dear one.  What is different now is that you KNOW that I have said there will be “No More Detours.”  Pauses, yes, even stumbles and bumps in the road, for sure, but detours? NO!  It will not be the perfection that you would like for it to be.  But it WILL be MY perfection, dear one. Just know that these bumps in the road, these pauses, even these stumbles, are PURPOSEFUL, LaWanda, and I WILL use them.  Your eyes may drift but they will ALWAYS come back to ME.  So thank Me for these bumps in the road, dear one.  Know that I will use them to increase your faith and for My glory.  And by the way, WELCOME HOME!!!
