If I fill my mind and heart daily with the evil taking place around me, I become fearful, angry, and depressed. This removes my Kingdom emotions of joy and peace (Rom. 14:17). The emotions of joy and peace turn on my immune system so I can walk in divine health. Fear, anger, and depression turn off my immune system so that cancer and other horrible diseases can develop, which I do not want!
Proclaim His truth with your lips by speaking Scripture aloud
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Who justify the wicked for a bribe, And take away the rights of the ones who are in the right! (Isa. 5:20, 23)
He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous, Both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD. (Prov. 17:15)
The eyes of the LORD are in every place, Watching the evil and the good. (Prov. 15:3)
Depart from evil and do good, So you will abide forever. For the LORD loves justice And does not forsake His godly ones; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked will be cut off. The righteous will inherit the land And dwell in it forever. The wicked spies upon the righteous And seeks to kill him. The LORD will not leave him in his hand Or let him be condemned when he is judged. Wait for the LORD and keep His way, And He will exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you will see it. I have seen a wicked, violent man Spreading himself like a luxuriant tree in its native soil. Then he passed away, and lo, he was no more; I sought for him, but he could not be found. Mark the blameless man, and behold the upright; For the man of peace will have a posterity. But transgressors will be altogether destroyed; The posterity of the wicked will be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in time of trouble. The LORD helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, Because they take refuge in Him. (Ps. 37:27-40)
I experience excellent health when I am filled with light and not darkness
If I listen to traditional news I hear lies, and if I listen to alternative news I hear of all the atrocities and injustices. Either way, I get depressed. I already understand that evil is rampant and lies and genocide are the order of the day. Continuing to listen to either is not going to change my mind. All it will do is fill me with turmoil, anger, fear and depression. This ruins my lifestyle of abiding in love, joy, peace, and divine health.
When I am living in Kingdom emotions (love, joy, peace) my immune system is switched on and it keeps me healthy. I sure don’t need to be one of those who die because my insides are poisoned with the non-kingdom emotions of anger, fear and depression. Had Jesus listened to the lies and atrocities coming out of Rome, He could have lived angry and depressed. Good thing the ONLY voice He listened to was that of His Father (Jn. 5:19,20,30)! Cool thing is, we are offered the opportunity to do the exact same thing (Jn. 10:27).
We need is to know our personal divine assignment and to be actively engaged in it
What I need is to hear the Father's initiative, so I know what I am to be doing to release His Kingdom on this earth. Every one of us has a divine assignment, and thankfully some Christians are being called to run for office. Is it possible for me to succeed in multiple jobs?
Kevin Eshleman is the lead pastor of a church of over 2,000. I was at his church recently to teach a seminar on hearing God’s voice. Pastor Kevin is also the head of his local school board. He told me the school board job normally takes about 5 hours a week.
Abraham was the Father of Faith, a founder of a nation and a successful businessman (multi-millionaire), as was King David. Solomon was a financial and political leader. Our founding fathers were pastors, military leaders and started universities. John Wesley, in addition to being a great revivalist, wrote a book on natural approaches to health, and did experiments with electricity.

Kevin just had his church do a 21-day fast from all media. Wow! How’s that for cleaning out the lies and depression so you have time to hear from God and get involved in healing our nation!
Every one of us is called to lead in one or several areas. Find out from God what areas you are to lead in. Will He stretch you? Absolutely! Moses said he couldn’t lead because he couldn’t talk well (Ex. 3:11-4:10). So I can give God excuses as to why I can’t operate in the supernatural anointing of His Spirit and perform way beyond my natural abilities, or I can say “Yes, Lord” and get involved in healing our land by leading and not following, lending and not borrowing, being above and not underneath (Deut. 28:8-13).
What will be your choice?
- Journaling question: Lord, what is Your call upon my life for this period of time?
- Scripture meditation: Meditate on Exodus 23:20-33 and journal out what the Lord speaks to you concerning waging war against the enemy. Who fights for you? Do you need to fear? What do you need to do to be victorious in this war?
