The greatest revival in the history of the world has begun! Here are some simple things you and I can do to help spread it.
Journaling
Mark, everyone is HUNGRY for love. They need a touch of My love daily, as it feeds their hearts and their spirits and gives life to their bodies. Let them touch this by hearing of My love for you, learning how they can receive the same, and guide them into receiving the same. This is so different from traditional religion. You are now modeling My life flow, teaching others how to easily experience it themselves, and coaching them into doing so. They will become alive! This is what they hunger for. They just have never been offered it in a simple consistent package. You and your followers CAN offer this to My world. Come join Me in offering this. Let Me raise this as a standard.
Yes, Lord.
Below are a few ways to make presentations (articles, blogs, books, sermons) into encounters with God for all your readers or listeners.
Principle One - Share two-way journaling followed by journaling questions
The Lord has impressed me with a few steps we can all take to spur revival in the lives of those we are touching through blogs, books, and teachings. Since people are hungry to have an encounter with God and God is passionate about having encounters with people, we can facilitate this happening by sharing some of our journaling and then putting personal journaling applications at the end of our blogs, articles, and chapters in books, as well as counseling sessions and conversations. Two-way journaling questions are my favorite and easiest encounter exercises. I get them started by suggesting two to three good questions they can ask God as they prayerfully reflect on what I have just shared with them.
Action step for principle one: Share a bit of your journaling and close every blog, article, book, or sermon with two-way journaling questions. If you are the leader of a gathering, then in addition, follow this with four minutes of quiet so people can hear from God and journal. Allow the opportunity for folks to read (not paraphrase) their journaling to the group. The presence of God will fill the air as people share, and hearts will be touched and changed. This occurs EVERY time I have people read their journaling.
Principle Two – Remind them of the 4 Keys
People need to know and review the four keys to hearing from God. Some have never been taught the four keys. Therefore, the Lord is instructing me to insert a mini summary of the four keys as a part of the journaling application exercise I post at the end of a blog, book, chapter, or sermon.
Action step for principle two: Below are several summaries of the 4 Keys. Please copy and paste these out to your computer, so you can select and insert any one of them any time you have journaling application times. The Spirit will guide you as to which summary to use and when. If I sense my readers may not have a foundation of the four keys, I will use the full-length summary. If I sense they are extremely familiar with the four keys, I use one of the short summaries.
(Copy the summaries below to your computer so you can add them to things you create.)
Full-length summary
- Hearing God's voice is as simple as: 1) quieting down (Ps. 62:1-5), 2) beholding Jesus at my right hand (Ps. 16:8; Acts 2:25), 3) asking for His revelation and tuning to flowing thoughts and flowing pictures (Jn. 7:37-39; Jer. 2:13), and 4) recording this flow (Hab. 2:1,2; Rev. 1:9-11). I then test it, ensuring it lines up with Scripture (Ps. 1:2; Jn. 10:35; 1 Thess. 5:2;) and is affirmed in the hearts of my three spiritual advisors (2 Cor. 13:1). See this link.
Medium-length summary
- I commune with God by: 1) becoming still, 2) beholding Jesus, 3) tuning to His River of flowing thoughts, pictures, and feelings, and 4) recording the flow. Then I test it using Scripture and the hearts of my spiritual advisors. See this link.
Shortest summaries
- Hearing God's voice is as simple as quieting myself, fixing my eyes on Jesus, tuning to flow and writing. See this link.
- I commune with God by: Becoming still, beholding Jesus, tuning to flow, and journaling. See this link.
- 4 keys to hearing God’s voice: Stillness, vision, flow, journaling. See this link.
How about we all offer something UNIQUE that people likely have NEVER experienced, which is...
- Modeling: By sharing a bit of journaling you have modeled what Jesus spoke, "My sheep hear My voice," reminding them that God DOES offer direct encounters to us all and that the Wonderful Counselor LOVES them more than they have ever imagined!
- Teaching: By adding the 4 Keys at the close, you have taught them the simple steps they need to do so they can have this wonderful encounter themselves.
- Coaching: You have coached them by suggesting a good question they could ask Jesus.
WOW, WOW, WOW! Do you realize that it is most likely that your acquaintances have NEVER had anyone offer all three of the above in a simple, easily digestible format? You are offering them restoration to the experience of the Garden of Eden, daily communion, fresh manna, and a drink from the Fountain of Living Waters! No more being forced to live from a broken cistern (Jer. 2:13).
Who else do you know who is offering these three things in a simple, easily applicable package? This is YOUR niche in the marketplace. We pray and believe that this will become standard in the body of Christ. How about YOU join us in lifting this standard and promoting revival by offering daily direct encounters with our Creator and Sustainer? Guide your listeners into drinking from the River that FLOWS from the throne of God!
Journaling application
We conclude this blog with the following journaling application exercise.
2:1,2; Rev. 1:9-11). - Question: Lord, how would You have me apply the ideas in this blog to my life?

- Another way to encounter God as a group is to include praying for one another. This can be provided by having people come to the altar or by having people break up in small groups to pray for those around them who are in need. You can invite people to share their testimony of how God touched them through the prayer. This can be very faith-building for the entire group!
