Lord, what do You want
to say to me
concerning journaling?

Dearest Child,
Just put your head
on my shoulder
And let me
hold you close.
You know,
When we meet
in our secret place
And our hearts commune
in shared meditation
and intimate conversation,
It is the time
you stop,
and let me
love on you.
This is very important to me.
I have so much love
that I want
to share
with you.
I have spoken
to you
in my Word,
But I want to whisper
into your ear
my love thoughts
private and personal
for you alone.
I don’t want
to be general.
I want to be
very particular.
And the way
you take time
to really listen
and internalize
what I say to you
truly ministers
to my heart.
This is a huge part
of your ministry
to me,
a way
you love
and honor
me.
But this is also
an important time
for you
to receive
my love.
You have had
a big, long, backload
of neglect
and unrequited love.
Your heart
has been parched
and thirsty
And the ground
cracked open
with deep,
gaping
crevices.
I want to fill you
with my love.
But it will take time.
I pour my love into you,
but the crevices
are so deep,
all that I pour in
seems to disappear;
And the surface clay
is so dry and hard
that the water
pools up
and runs off.
I am not upset with you.
I know that it will take time
for the clay to soften enough
to accept my love
poured out,
And then even longer
to slowly become
fully saturated.
Also, those bottomless cracks
will take time
to fill up
and relax.
And finally,
the soil seams
will soak together
into one
and be healed.
This is a process.
I understand that.
But I want you
to understand that, also.
There is no condemnation.
You just need
the time
and the watering.
I have all the time
and water
and love
to fill
throughout eternity.
I do not mind repetition;
I welcome it!
Let me love on you—
again and again and again—
until you are soaking
and saturated
with my love!
This is crucial
for your well-being.
I know you realize
it is crucial for ministry,
But I am not talking
about ministry here.
I am talking about YOU!
Everyone and everything else aside,
YOU need this time
to simply be loved.
You are worth
taking the time and effort.
You are important enough.
So if I say more
about loving you
and your depending
upon me and my love most,
Know that it is because
your well-being
is my top priority!
I want you
to experience my love
more than anything else
I desire for you
or for your life!
Really!
You have found
that journaling with me
has drawn us closer
than anything else.
And you have made it
a priority.
But don’t make
our mere communication
your priority,
But our oneness—
our enjoyment of
and intimacy with
each other.
I desire you, my child.
I desire
to be desired
by you.
And I know
that you
desire
to be desired.
I know
you want
your desire
for me
to grow.
And your ability
to receive
and experience
my love,
also.
Let the barriers
of self-protection
come down,
And let us meld together
and be one.
Shall we?
It is what we both desire
and what we both long for
in the depths.
It is our time together—
to simply be.
Let this be
what journaling is
for us.
Let us soak in
each other
to the bone
and beyond.
Let this be
our hidden time
of metamorphosis
within the cocoon
Where we are dissolved
and made
into one.
For us!
A toast
to two-way journaling
for us!
Drink, my love!
Drink to your heart’s content.
And I will personally see
that your cup
never runs dry!
You are the love of my life,
my darling,
my beautiful butterfly.
Our panting for each other
will be soon satisfied,
And our hearts
made content.
We are always becoming
more and more
one!
