RFK Jr: Corrupt medical journals, corrupt studies. Whom can I trust?

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is the 26th Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Stat News ran a story headlined, “‘Corrupt’ medical journals have to change, RFK Jr. says, or the NIH will publish in-house.” The sub-headline dug in deeper: “The health secretary said The Lancet, NEJM, and JAMA have been influenced by the pharmaceutical industry.”

Lancet’s former editor-in-chief, Richard Horton, who in 2015 famously said, “The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue.” And he should know. “Science has taken a turn toward darkness,” Horton added.

Harvard Medical School’s Dr. Marcia Angell was the Editor-in-Chief at the New England Journal of Medicine for 20 years. She states: It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.

Kennedy announced, “We’re probably going to stop publishing in the Lancet, New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, and those other journals because they’re all corrupt.” The journals, he explained, publish unreproducible studies funded by the pharmaceutical industry. Instead, the NIH plans to make its own medical journals for its various institutes and centers — unless, that is, current journals make “radical” changes.

How much money does it cost to come to truth using a double-blind study?

• Small-scale studies (e.g., a few dozen participants, simple design): $10,000–$50,000.
• Medium-scale clinical trials (e.g., 100–500 participants, Phase I/II): $1–5 million.
• Large-scale clinical trials (e.g., Phase III, thousands of participants): $10–100 million or more.

Would God require this expenditure to discover truth? I don’t think so. Jesus said, the Spirit will guide us into all truth (Jn. 16:13), and the Bible lays out six pillars that the Spirit works through in providing revelation. I like all six to be in alignment. • If we let life speak back to us, we could explore why the Amish have no autism, yet autism is rampant in the rest of America. See: How much autism is found among the Amish? The Amish receive no vaccines and have no autism. Hm. Might I want to check to see if there is a link, and while checking might I want to hold off on vaccines? The Amish are also not exposed to dangerous EMFs from electronic wireless devices either. 

If we let life speak back to us, we would question why America spends more on healthcare per person than any other nation in the world, and yet we are listed as 48th out of 200 nations in longevity.

So it appears that our independent double-blind studies have NOT answered these questions, but an inquisitive person, exploring what life is saying back could quite easily discover that forces were at work here, causing these abnormalities, and find solutions. I have. You can, too! Life is short. It can be lived better and longer if you take responsibility for your own health and use God’s paradigm to discover truth!
