Speaking to God’s Creation

Jesus’ words demonstrate power over nature.

• Jesus spoke to the winds and they obeyed him - And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Hush, be still." And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm. (Mk. 4:39)
• Jesus spoke to a tree and it obeyed him - Being reminded, Peter said to Him, "Rabbi, look, the fig tree which You cursed has withered." (Mk. 11:14,21)

The Principle (The Why)

• For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. (Rom 8:19-22)
• Creation is waiting for us, the children of God, to speak life to it, so it can be set free from the curse that it is under. As we speak life, blessing, and freedom, creation responds. Wow! Let’s speak life as God is instructing us to!!!
• Agnes Sanford moved to California in her later years to pray for the San Andreas fault, that there would be no devastating earthquake, but a gentle release of the earth's pressure. There were no major earthquakes during the years she walked and prayed along this fault line.

The How

• "Have faith in God (literally, have God’s faith). Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. (Mk. 11:22-24)
• Death and life are in the power of the tongue. (Prov. 18:21)
• God spoke the world into existence. (Gen. 1:3)
• Abraham spoke what God told him to speak and it released a miracle. God spoke to Abram and told him to change his name from Abram to Abraham (Gen. 17:1,4,5). Abraham means “father of many nations.” Abraham spoke this every time he said his name, and within one year, his wife was pregnant with their first child (Gen 21:5). God’s rhema words, when repeated by man, release God's miracles.

The promise – speak what God speaks

The power of God’s spoken words - "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. (Isa 55:10-11)

The result - all creation will praise Him

"For you will go out with joy and be led forth with peace; The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the field will clap their hands." (Isa. 55:12)

2. What do You want me to speak to Your creation at this time?
3. I commune with God by: 1) becoming still, 2) beholding Jesus, 3) tuning to His River of flowing thoughts, pictures, and feelings, and 4) recording the flow. Then I test it using Scripture and the hearts of my spiritual advisors. See this link.
