Today I was re-reading a favorite book, No Greater Love by one of my heroes, Mother Teresa. (I’m sure that many of you would say the same thing.) The following words really stood out: “God loved the world so much that He gave Jesus. Today He loves the world so much that He gives you and me to be His love, His compassion, and His presence, through a live of prayer, of sacrifice, of surrender to God.”
India is a land like no other. Over 400 languages and cultures living together in modern cities and villages that seem locked in a long ago time. I have traveled to my beloved India more than a dozen times, and each trip has carried its own adventures. It is amazing that in the 21st Century, I can still find myself standing in front of groups of people who have never before heard the name of Jesus. Times like this remind me of Paul’s exhortation to the church:
