A Heavenly Encounter Heals the Loss of a Daughter by Tom Zinn

Mark Virkler's picture

It had been a full year and a half since my daughter Katelyn Marie perished in a car accident while rushing home one evening to beat curfew. The pain of that moment, of the whole experience was my Great Sadness (see The Shack by Wm. Paul Young) bearing down on me daily and especially at night. Evenings were most difficult because the plague of "what ifs" would cover me from tip to toe, mulling me over in his clammy hands never letting go and squeezing every ounce of joy from my soul.

Falling in love with me happens by accident. You cant choose it.

Mark Holloway's picture

The only choice you can make is to be my friend. That requires lots and lots of
conversations with me, and then, quite by accident, you will fall in love with me.

Mark I want you to take care.

God what of?

Your heart.

Ok how do I do that?

You listen.

Ok.

Hello? Is anyone home? Who will teach people how to listen to me? And to others?

Hi God. It still seems so ridiculous that I can say ‘Hi God’ and you’ll respond.

I will respond. I do. I’m vulnerable to you. There you have it. Now you know. God, the Creator, is vulnerable to you.

My Trip to Heaven by Julia Lynne Parker

Mark Virkler's picture

“I have learned so much and have come so far in my communion with the Lord through journaling that I have even gotten visions from the Lord by entering the throne room!  Now that is totally amazing to me and I know that's not all God wants to do.  Taking your classes has revolutionized my heart and life so much that I will never be the same and that I will not stay the same today that I was yesterday (I am currently 66). Journaling to "Hear God's Voice" has been one awesome, ongoing, strengthening, going from Glory to Glory IN Jesus experience.  I just want to say "THANK YOU" Mark and Patti. My life is more blessed and more fulfilled through what God has given you.

From Guru to God - Transformed by Journaling

Mark Virkler's picture

Dear Mark,
In Toronto, 2006, you taught a group of us your journaling technique on 'how to hear God's voice.' You stated that if we did this consistently for three months it would change our lives. I complied. Indeed I have been journaling in your manner almost daily ever since and it has been a most most comforting, encouraging and helpful element of my Christian walk. Thank you! Sincerely in Him - Michael Graham
