What Is the Easiest Strategy for Removing Sin from My Life?

Three possible strategies for removing darkness from my life. Which one(s) work well?

 

  1. I could try pushing the darkness of sin out by attacking it directly – I find this ineffective
  2. I could abide in Christ by beholding the Lord at my right hand (Acts 2:25), asking continuously for His wisdom and power. His ever-increasing light displaces darkness automatically meaning that I can spend my time focusing on abiding in Christ and not focusing on attacking sin.
  3. I could ask and receive revelation from Jesus as to the heart wound which underlies this specific sin, and then apply seven healing prayers to that heart wound. I find this is very effective.

I choose #2 and #3: To abide in Christ and revelation knowledge as the most effective ways to overcome sin and darkness in my life.
