LaWanda - Oh, how I love Jesus. Oh, how I love Jesus. Oh, how I love Jesus because He first loved me.
“The splendor light of heaven’s glorious sunrise is about to break upon us in holy visitation, all because the merciful heart of our God is so very tender.” Luke 1:78
Oh, Lord, this is how I feel every day when I come to the secret place. Your presence is about to break upon me only because of your merciful, tender heart toward me. Oh, Jesus, precious Lord, I praise you and give you honor and glory today, Lord. Your love is so tender toward me. Your eyes so filled with compassion and love. I am undone, Lord. I am undone. Let me just bask in your love, Lord. Thank you, precious Jesus.
Jesus, I see you today looking at a crowd. You are not speaking; you are simply loving each person with your eyes. No words are necessary. Even as you are loving these people, you reach back and take my hand, for you are loving me, too. Your compassion for our predicament is overwhelming. It is driving you to the cross. Your love for us is so great that we can never really comprehend the magnitude of it. We can imagine laying down our life for a husband or a wife or a child - but for humanity? That is just too much for our limited minds to understand so we are left with the choice to just accept it and experience it by faith or to walk away because we cannot comprehend something so great. Oh, how sad for those who walk away and never know you. Oh, how sad for those who never make it to the secret place, who never hear your tender voice of comfort, who never experience the love that is your presence. Oh, Lord, let me share you today with someone who needs to feel your love. Give me eyes to see and ears to hear. Thank you, Jesus.
Jesus - LaWanda, my dear one, my precious, precious one. The light of my glory has already broken upon you. It is the grace that is covering you as you walk this path with me. Some would say that you are in denial or shock, over the death of your husband, Mike, that reality has just not set in. And, I would say: “This IS your new reality. Living in the light of My glory, letting Me fill all those empty places as they arise. It is not that you don’t miss Mike, you do. But you are choosing to lean on Me. You are choosing to let me fill those places so gracefully that they are merely bumps in the road, not a chasm created by the earthquake of Mike’s death.
Oh, LaWanda, my dear one. This is my will for you, for all my children – choose ME, lean on Me in ALL things. Come to the secret place and be with Me there, begin to KNOW Me in ways you have never dreamed possible. And if you do, the abundant life that I promised will be yours. You will have your bumps in the road, but they will not be so devasting that you will not recover, for your eyes are on Me. Let Me be your Savior in this as well. Keep your eyes and heart on Me, LaWanda, and rest in my everlasting arms. Resting in Me is your part. Mine is all the rest. This is your new reality.
