Speaking in tongues involves a miracle wherein you yield your vocal cords to the flow of the Holy Spirit, trusting that God is forming the syllables you speak into a language. It may be a language of men or of angels (1 Cor. 13:1). You choose to speak (Acts 2:4) but you choose not to form the syllables consciously, and instead let the Spirit give the utterance (Acts:2:4).
The goal of this short teaching is to help people understand the part they need to play and the part the Holy Spirit plays when it comes to the miracle of speaking in tongues. This will help a person receive their "breakthrough" into the realm of the supernatural. I was raised an Anglican and heard the words Father Son and Holy Spirit since I was born, yet I never really understood who the Holy Spirit was. I could grasp the idea of Jesus and my Heavenly Father, but the Holy Spirit was a bit of a mystery.
This is some feedback after praying through session 5 of “Prayers That Heal the Heart” yesterday morning as I prepared to head to work in New Zealand. The issue I was seeking freedom from was "striving," which is probably about the 20th issue God has brought me through since I first was taught under Mark Virkler in Kona, Hawaii January 2017 at Crossroads DTS.
