Jesus demonstrates the anointed lifestyle, a lifestyle of living by the Holy Spirit. An anointed Church releases divine transformation in individuals and stimulates revival in the Church and reformation in the nation. The Church MUST function in the anointing. The world NEEDS this and is HUNGRY to see the supernatural God manifest in their midst!

The Law of Anointing
The Law of Anointing is found in Galatians 5:6,"For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through [i.e., "energized by"] love." We will explore these three components of the law of anointing and discover that each one constitutes the moving of the Holy Spirit as we yield to Him.
Faith = a work of the Holy Spirit.
Faith is a gift of the Spirit (1 Cor. 12:8,9). It is not something we work up. The Father of Faith experienced faith as God spoke a rhema promise to him (Gen. 12:1-3) and then inflamed his faith with a vision of the promise already fulfilled (Gen. 15:1-6). So we learn to listen and look daily during our two-way journaling times. We quiet ourselves in His presence and ask for His wonderful counsel. His voice comes as flowing thoughts, and His visions as flowing pictures. We write these down in simple, childlike faith and then test them later against Scripture. If anything is edgy we make sure our spiritual advisors' hearts bear witness that this journaling came from God.
Energized by = a work of the Holy Spirit.
"Working through" in the Greek is energeo and means "energized by." This energizing is the movement of the Spirit of God. Energeo and its forms appear nearly 40 times in the New Testament. (Click here to read them.) Here’s what they reveal:
- God’s Creative and Healing Power: Miracles happen as God's energy flows (Matt. 14:2; Eph. 1:19-20). The energy that raised Jesus from the dead is available to us.
- The Outworking of Gifts: The unique passions, gifts, and ministries within believers operate by God’s energizing flow (1 Cor. 12:6, Eph. 4:16).
- Prayer and Intercession: Pray at all times in the Spirit (Eph. 6:18). Since the Spirit is recognized as "flow" within us (Jn. 7:37-39), that means we let "flow" guide our prayer times. Spirit-guided and Spirit-energized prayer is powerful and effective (Jas. 5:16).
- Hearing and Obeying God: God’s living Word is energized in us and changes us from within (Heb. 4:12; 1 Thess. 2:13).
Experiencing “Energeo”
When the Holy Spirit energizes us, we experience:
- Physical Sensations: Many sense warmth, tingling, or a rush of energy in their hands when praying for the sick. This is the Holy Spirit’s healing anointing at work.
- Inner Transformation: We may experience a flow of faith, hope, love, and deep peace within. These are manifestations of God’s energy working in our lives.
- Inspired Speech: Spirit-energized words carry conviction, truth, and healing.
- Creative Work: Laboring with the Spirit leads to productivity, fruitfulness, and “live” (not dead) works.
- Anointed Mind: Thoughts become clear, creative, and filled with God’s wisdom.

Practical Ways to Release Divine Energy
- Welcome the Holy Spirit: Invite His presence through prayer, worship, and honoring His power above your ability.
- Tune to God’s Flow: When praying for healing or other needs, sense the energy of compassion and faith stirring in your heart; look for sensations of heat or tingling in your hands.
- Abide in Christ: See yourself seated with Christ in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6). As you dwell on His presence, you “breathe in” His atmosphere and release it through your words and actions.
- Remove Blockages: Unforgiveness, bitterness, unconfessed sin, or reliance on your strength can block God’s flow. Confess these and welcome the Spirit’s cleansing.
- Use the Senses of Your Heart: God often speaks and moves through the “eyes” and “ears” of your heart—pictures, dreams, inner impressions, and emotions. Pay attention to these as you minister.
Love = a work of the Holy Spirit.
The fruit of the Spirit is love (Gal. 5:22-23).
I do not “grunt up” love for a person or my enemies. I say, "Lord, show me how You are responding to this person." Tune to flowing pictures and see what Jesus is doing. Tune to flowing thoughts and listen to what God is saying about this person. Respond by saying, "Yes, Lord" to what He is revealing. Say, "Lord, thank You for Your love that flows within me. I release Your love toward __________ now."
The result is you are transformed by divine compassion in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, by the supernatural flow of the Holy Spirit within (1 Cor. 6:17).
Seeing Spiritual Realities - Pictures are worth 1000 words.
The Lord encourages us to see His energy flowing—from His throne, through us, into the world. Just as Abram believed God when he saw the stars (Gen. 15:5-6), seeing spiritual realities enhances our faith. As we picture God’s power flowing and His light shining, faith arises for miracles. As we see Jesus in action in any situation, faith arises, and His anointing kicks in. This is The Law of Anointing.
Personal Application
Ask the Lord: “What do You want to say to me about experiencing and releasing Your divine energy?” He invites you into the intimacy of dwelling in His presence, breathing in His glory, and releasing His healing, creative, and transformative power wherever you go. You are a vessel through which the atmosphere of heaven—God’s energy, love, and compassion—can touch and heal the world.
Let His energizing power flow through the unique giftings and destiny God has given you and watch as His Kingdom comes on earth as it is in Heaven!
