I received this question in an email from England: "My friend believes you should believe what your spirit tells you above the scriptures because not all scripture is divinely inspired. My question is, is the Bible infallible?"
Anointed living is about releasing the Holy Spirit. These six foundational experiences (Heb. 6:1,2) describe the steps to restoring spiritual intimacy and power so we can live as Jesus lived (Jn. 5:19,20,30) and fulfill the destinies God has ordained for us.
We’ve all had BIG moments in our lives where God showed up with amazing revelation and we were instantly transformed. Paul had such a blinding light encounter in his conversion on the Damascus Road (Acts 9) where the entire course of his life was forever changed.
In addition to these huge life-transforming revelatory encounters, we have daily revelation from God which transforms. One such example is Paul having a dream at night of a Macedonian man, motioning for to come on over to Macedonia. Paul awoke and acted on his dream by going to Macedonia (Acts. 16:9,10).
I know you can identify in your own life similar large and small enlightenment experiences (Eph. 1:17,18). I sure can!
Some time ago, an acquaintance of mine resigned his job go into ‘full time ministry.” He had been a very good salesperson who was respected by his customers and valued by his employer.
LaWanda – O Jesus, the day is almost gone and once again, I have let other things distract me. Will I never learn, Lord? Help me, Lord Jesus, to from the moment I wake up to put you FIRST, with everything else coming AFTER my time with you. I cannot continue to sleep until 7 or 8 and expect to get everything done. I need your help, Lord. Help me to go to bed early enough for me to get up @ 5 or 6. O lord, I feel you are calling me to more of you, for me to invest more of me into you. And I must get to bed by 10 to do it, Lord. Help me please.
When talking to the leadership team at Catch the Fire in Toronto, they confirmed that when they pray for people, not everyone is slain in the Spirit. For those who don't know, being slain in the Spirit is falling over (generally backward), when someone is in front of you praying for you. The understanding is that the Holy Spirit is coming upon them and this weakens them so they fall down, and then normally they rest under the Spirit's power as they lay on the floor and He ministers to them.
I suspect that everyone deals with rejection, in at least some areas. (When I typed that, I sneezed—a sign, for me, of deliverance. Shew!) Rejection, of course, is antithetical to who we are in Christ, which is that we are accepted in the beloved. And rejection has been one of the themes of my prayers this last week. Cindy McFaden had me read through this prayer, out loud, thinking it through as I went. As always, feel free to add lines or thoughts as they surface—this is an excellent template, but feel free to edit as you go, if it doesn’t apply completely. (A prayer probably from Elijah House.)
My counselee said, I have already gone through deliverance for all this and had demons cast out. How can they be back?
