Jesus obviously models an awesome approach to evangelism. Let's take a look at it.

LaWanda - Jesus, Precious Lord. I praise You. I love You, Lord. Your word is my hearing aid. Your Word helps me to hear You, to hear Your voice. Thank You, Lord, that Your Word is alive when You speak it. It is alive when I hear it. It is alive as it grows in me and it is alive when I share it.

I just finished reading the three-book series by Lonnie Frisbee describing the inside story of his involvement in the "Jesus Revolution." The revival was exhilarating, messy, and led by imperfect people. This would appear to be the norm for revivals throughout history. Lonnie was a hippie who became an anointed evangelist in the Jesus Movement of 1970 (see blog 1 in this series).
With a revival erupting in Asbury, Kentucky, and over 20,000 attending on a weekend, what do I need to know if I am going to experience revival? Is it possible to live in a constant state of revival?
"But you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day." (Deut. 8:18)
When I am in perfect peace, my immune system is switched on, which in turn keeps me in health. I choose health. I choose to stay in peace even while evil arises around me. God WILL deal with it as He has promised! I trust in the Lord. I live in health and peace. Thank You, Lord!
"Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter, The one that remains faithful." "The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You." "Trust in the LORD forever, For in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock."
LaWanda - Precious Lord. How I praise You. As I lay at your feet, Lord, I am brought once again into Your presence. Thank You, Jesus, for Your mercy and Your grace. Oh, Jesus, help me to surrender to Your Lordship. Help me to realize – KNOW - that I don’t have to be “in charge”, that I am NOT in charge of anything. Oh, Holy Spirit, touch me now. Precious, Lord, I surrender to You. I surrender ALL, Lord, I surrender ALL.
Below are a few questions about money and finances. See how many you can answer.
I just read through the Epistles again (i.e., the letters to the early Church). I noticed, among other things, the references to sinful behavior which needed to be addressed. This brought me to the question, “Did the New Testament Church have to cope with the same evil within its ranks as the Church today, or are things much worse today?” People point to evil worsening and say things are getting darker. How dark was the Church in the New Testament? Pretty dark, as they had all the same problems we see today. Here are some of my gleanings.
