Dreams: God's Contingency Plan

Charity Kayembe's picture

In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve chose not to live out of the supernatural realm and dependence on God. They determined to live from their heads rather than their hearts, resolving to decide on their own between good and evil (Gen. 3:5).

But God did not give up on humankind that easily. When our minds rest at night, our spirits still fellowship with God. Even though we abandoned relationship with Him and chose to live out of our minds during the day, God knew He could still reach us at night through our dreams. This was His back-up plan.

I Had This Sexual Dream - Yikes!!!

Mark Virkler's picture

I just want to know why it is that I dream dreams at times where there is sexual content to it. The ones that are romantic in nature are fine, but then there are the ones that I can see myself having relations with a man and times where I don't see myself, but know that it is me in the dream. I don't go around throughout the day thinking of sex or any man in that way, so why would I be having these types of dreams? This disturbs me because I feel there is no foundation for me to be having them, and I don't want to feel that I am not pure in God's sight. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Can Demons Speak Through My Dreams?

Mark Virkler's picture

Question from Obed about Dreams

I am trying to understand how dreams can be a medium of communication by spiritual beings. I am of the belief that only God knows our thoughts. Satan is incapable of this. However, I do not fully understand the biology or the physics of dreams. I do not believe in communication with the dead for the bible teaches that the dead know nothing. So that leaves us with heavenly beings or demonic beings.
