Mary and I asked Jesus about John 3:16 as part of my helping my wife Mary gain greater freedom in hearing His voice. We visualized Jesus on a grassy slope at the Sea of Galilee where we had been a few years ago. We then wrote down John 3:16 and asked Him for His comments. Here is what I received.John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (NKJ)Ben, there is so much truth here. Too often, it is treated casually, missing the depth therein. What you read has been planned from the beginning. What happened is no accident! I knew in the beginning what I would have to do to restore fellowship with My Heavenly Father, with Me. I gave My all that the world could be set free to worship Me in Spirit and in truth. It was not an easy thing for Me to endure the cross and all that went with it. Remember how I shed blood through My forehead as I wrestled with My flesh? Finally, I did what I did. I said; "Father, Your will be done, not Mine." Ben, this is the desire of My heart for all of My people - not necessarily to endure the pain of the cross, but rather to spend time in My presence, letting My will be done as we fellowship together. You may not be asked to endure what I did, but you are asked to spend time with Me. Out of fellowship together, we can accomplish the will of our Father in heaven. Continue to seek Me, continue to ask Me about the verses you are reading, specifically John 3: 16 and 17. I placed this burden upon the heart of My servant, My friend, Lan, to pursue the deeper meanings of these verses. I am asking you and Mary to do the same. I have so much to reveal to you. Spend time with Me so that I can reveal the desires of My heart to you - and yes, I want this for all of My people!Jesus, You said; "I knew in the beginning what I would have to do to restore fellowship with My Heavenly Father, with Me." Please expound upon this.Ben, what I said is true. However, your background, your training, keeps you from understanding. Remember, the sins of everyone were laid upon Me at the cross. My Father and yours is holy - He could not look upon sin and our fellowship was broken. But when I died upon that cross and arose three days later, that fellowship was completely restored."With Me" means the relationship that I have with you and the rest of My children. This was a total package of restoration so that the circle of love could exist between all of us: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, and My people.
