I Peter 1:14-16 As obedient children, do not be shaped by the desires that used to influence you when you were ignorant. Instead, be holy in every aspect of your life, just as the one who called you is holy. For it is written, "You must be holy, because I am holy."
Lord God, I have heard little from the "pulpit" about being holy. What should we know about being holy?
Ben, without holiness, no one can come into My presence. My Son Jesus made it possible for all to receive holiness. However, to be effective in their walk with Me, My people have to learn to walk in holiness. When they spend time with Me, I enable them to live in holiness. It is an ongoing process. Whenever we (the people) fall short of the glory of God, we are to seek forgiveness and go forward.
Lord, to fall short of the glory of God; what does this mean?
Ben, walking in holiness is walking in the glory of God. It is being in My presence. It is in the glory realm that miracles and signs and wonders occur. Lord, I do not see how your response fits "to fall short of..."
Ben, it is there. It is in the answer I have given.Lord, I now see it. If we are not walking in holiness we are not in the glory of God. We have fallen short. Lord, this suggests we see little of the supernatural in our churches because holiness is lacking.
Ben, it not only suggests it, it means it! There is too much of the world in My people and sadly, they do not want to let go of it. Seek holiness in the proper sense and experience the miraculous in your life!
Another question, Lord. What is the proper sense?
The proper sense is developed through spending time in My presence, in being intimate with Me.
