Blessed Holy Lord Jesus, what kind of religious "stuff" do I need to remove?
Ben, I have removed much of your "garbage", religiously speaking. You still see evidences of "stuff" that remains. It takes time to clean it all out. It is not necessary that you clean it all out at once - this is My job! Too many of My people want to do their own house cleaning, so to speak. They do not see the "dirt" in the hidden corners that I do. I know where to look, to explore each nook and cranny. This is a joint effort - you let Me do it! I do the rest!
Later in a practice session with my wife Mary, the subject of religious stuff was pursued further. I asked our Lord what more would He share with me regarding religious stuff in my life.
I so enjoy having you come into My presence! That is the great desire of My heart. As you spend time in My presence, I am removing the religious stuff from you, from your heart. Your part of the deal, so to speak, is to let Me do the removal!
Jesus, how did You deal with religious stuff while You were on planet earth?
Ben, I was led continually by My Father and yours! I did nothing until I saw or heard Him instruct Me to do so. This is the same pattern that I want, desire, for all of my children! This way, My Father gets the glory and My people get set free of their religious garbage!
You may ask what is religious "stuff", religious "garbage"? Our Lord also defines it as "fluff". Here is His definition that He shared with me for a conference that I attended:
I do not want your programs - I just want you! I want a deep personal relationship with each and every one of My children. All else is fluff - the stuff you do in an effort to please Me through your own efforts - just come to Me and I will do the rest! Jesus
