Why should we spend time with Jesus?

Lord, Jesus, why should we spend time with You?

Ben, the reason I created mankind was to have fellowship with My created beings.     I so love just spending time with My own. It is such a rewarding event for both Me and for the one spending time with Me. I am blessed by having My children spend time with Me, and in return I am enabled to pour out My blessings, My love upon each one.  Why is it so difficult for My children to set aside time to be with Me? As I have observed, they get caught up in the affairs of life, too busy keeping busy. I want this affliction to stop! I want My children to discipline themselves, to take time to come into My presence so that I can love on them and bless them! Jesus, you said You are enabled to bless us when we spend time with You. Please expand on You being "enabled" to bless us.

Ben, I choose to work through My people. Too many have religious beliefs that keep them from this basic truth. Think about it. I created mankind to have fellowship with Me. When they spend time with Me in My presence I can then share with them My desires. When they do it this way, they then know what I desire and can move forward accordingly, be it through prayer or speaking in My authority to bring about that which I desire. I am tired of the prayers that are general, such as: "Lord, bring peace to the world". I want My people to be involved in bringing peace to the world! And it is best that they take a small bite at a time until their faith and trust in Me allows them to take bigger bites, so to speak.Jesus, what about the blessing part?

Ben, it is a given. When I spend time with My Children and they spend time with Me that I do indeed bless them. I bless them with the ability to walk in My love and in My will. I bless them in other ways, too. There are no limits to how much I bless My children. The only limits are imposed by My children when they do not spend time with Me!Jesus, You said "... be it through prayer or speaking in My authority to bring about that which I desire". I feel like more is needed here.

Ben, more is needed. I wanted you to take this approach rather than to give to you all of the details at once. Ben, when My people spend time in My presence, I am able to communicate to them the best way to deal with whatever issue they are pursuing. This includes such things as prayer, as authoritative commands, as interceding a certain way, as just loving on them. As you can see, this follows the pattern that I used to bring freedom and healing and hope to those I contacted. As you become more and more like Me, you are enabled to walk in My footsteps, bringing that which I desire into being. So in the big picture, I am enabled to bring about that which I desire and you are enabled to do just that!
